Every year Boise Bicycle Project participates in Idaho Gives. This program of the Idaho Nonprofit Center is designed to bring the state together, raising money and awareness for Idaho nonprofits in 4 days. This year, we will be fundraising from April 29- May 2 to raise $100,000! Thanks to an anonymous BBP member, every donation made during Idaho Gives will be 100% matched (up to $50,000)!
Idaho Gives is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and without funding, we wouldn’t be able to expand our work in the community.
Last year you helped support our advocacy work. With that support, our Advocacy Committee and community partners made an incredible impact on our streets. We affected meaningful infrastructure change, including the bicycle and pedestrian improvement projects on 8th Street as well as Capitol Boulevard. We also engaged over 750 kids with pop-up traffic gardens- teaching them the rules of the road & helping them earn a referral for a bicycle if they needed one.
This Idaho Gives, we invite you to join us on “the path to opportunity”- a journey that begins with getting a bicycle, but extends to the personal, social, and economic opportunities that a bicycle provides. Donations this Idaho Gives will allow us to ensure that all kids and families in our community have access to bicycles, while also serving to expand apprenticeship programming for teens and incarcerated women.
