Matt Schlimgen

Lead educator

Matt Schlimgen started at Boise Bike Project in the Fall of 2022 and uses They/Them pronouns! Before moving to Boise they lived and worked in McCall as a mechanic at Gravity Sports.

They began their bike journey in their home state of South Dakota riding the trails and roads of the Black Hills. There they fell in love with biking, climbing, backpacking, and the outdoors. From working in their garage after work on their own bikes to wrenching at a shop, they have grown to appreciate the fun and patience it takes to be a mechanic.

In this role they hope to share their experiences and excitement for bikes with everyone interested in wrenching or riding.
