Idaho Gives 2020: What a Wild Ride!
443 unique donors. $60,505 raised. THANK YOU!
Idaho Gives 2020 ended yesterday; and like most things we do at BBP, it was a wild ride! We collectively covered about 50 miles of Boise streets over 14 days to deliver dream bikes to kids and teens. While we shared 14 stories in our Idaho Gives campaign, we actually gave away about 25 bikes over the two week period.
Flair, Prepare, #ShowUsYouCare. 5/8-5/15 Homework
So this week’s BIG assignment is to add a piece of “flair” to your bicycle. Bells, whistles, horns, buttons, stickers, dangles and/or tangles. Add something new that means something to you right now. Maybe it will still be there in 5 years and you’ll say, “I remember that moment and now here I am, now here we are.”
Bikes of BBP & Their Humans: Meet Seth
Ah, Seth… what a great guy! Our nickname at the shop for him is Young Seth; and while he is a young guy, he’s such a talented mechanic. It’s always a fun time when Seth’s at work, and I can’t wait for you to meet his bike…
Bike Sales at BBP: Refurbished bikes on Saturdays & Project Bikes every day!
That’s right… we are selling bikes in person now!
BBP is reopening responsibly to reflect the phases set up by the city and our Governor. In Stage One, we have begun hosting-in person bike sales outside, on Saturdays only from 11-5pm. Here is some information for you to be aware of before coming down.
5/1 - 5/7 Homework
The Stay-at-home order has been lifted, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t still be staying at home.
From the Governor’s Stage 1 Protocol “Gatherings, both public and private, should be avoided.” And that means it’s still the perfect time to be doing BBP Homework.
