Adopt a Bike Highlight: THIS is why we do it.

Our 13th Annual Holiday Kids Bike Giveaway is 17 days away!! Over the next 2.5 weeks we will be asking you for a lot.

My personal ask to you is to Adopt one of the 700 Dream Bikes we will give away this year.

When you Adopt a Bike, its not just a bicycle you are giving to a child in need, it’s transportation to and from school, sports, activities and even BBP to work on their own bicycle.

It’s connection to unlimited possibilities that Boise provides to our youth, such as Parks and Rec, camps over the summer, events like World Village Fest and Martin Luther King Day, and the simple yet empowering ability to create connections with friends, community leaders and more.

Most importantly, it’s freedom. Jose’s application below best describes this sense of freedom we all experience with a bicycle and highlights an incredible reason we keep hosting Holiday Kids Bike Giveaway every year: bigger, better, and more impact for our ever growing diverse community.

Because of your support of this event, we are able to provide Jose something he has never been able to do, that many of us take for granted: a bicycle ride around the neighborhood, in a safe city, with welcoming neighbors and friends to tag along with.

There is no doubt that within the 650 applications, there are so many more stories like Jose’s. You change lives when you Adopt a Dream Bike. Your impact is insurmountable, in ways that I cannot describe, or comprehend.

I always wanted a bike but never could have one because of these reasons. I love living in the U.S, a land of peace and a place where I will feel safe to ride my bike.”
