2021 The Year We "Ride On!" Join Us!
Next Wednesday, January 27th at 6pm, BBP will host its Annual Members Meeting. If you are a BBP Member YOU NEED TO BE THERE. If you are curious about BBP Membership YOU NEED TO BE THERE! Of course the meeting has to be virtual this year, but we are requesting that everyone go for a minimum 1 mile / 5 minute / head-clearing / heart-happying bike ride before the meeting begins. You’ll find out why after the meeting starts. We’re also encouraging folks to pick up some local food/beverages to go and dine with us during the meeting.
Why do you “NEED TO BE THERE?” Because BBP begins a new journey in 2021 and we need you riding with us. In will be a journey over 20,000 miles, a journey of 2000 bikes, a journey of 2000 people served, and it will be a year the we (BBP’s Staff, Board, Members, Supporters) collectively bring Boise closer to our the Bicycle Capital of America Vision.
On Wednesday, we will review how, despite every obstacle imaginable, you helped us “Hold on Tight” in 2020 and set new records in bicycle distributions, free bicycle repair, and financial stability. Then, we will unveil our map/plan to “Ride On” in 2021.
Following a brief presentation, “The State of BBP,” by yours truly (Jimmy), we will hop into four breakout groups to discussion your ideas and involvement in:
Advocacy (canal pathways, road projects, bike safety…)
BBP’s Board of Directors (who are they? want to join?)
Volunteers (the many ways to have an impact at BBP)
Rides/Fun/Bikes (20,000 miles, events, bike repair)
We hope you can join us virtually on Wednesday, January 27th at 6pm. Don’t forget to go for ride before the meeting. Maybe grab some local food or beverage to go and enjoy them at the meeting.
Our Bicycle Capital of America Vision
We believe that Boise has the potential to be the bicycling capital of America, a place where everyone can experience the freedom and countless opportunities a bicycle can create.
When every individual regardless of age, gender, race, sexual orientation, and ability has access to a bicycle…
When quick, reliable, and affordable bicycle repair is available to all...
When every family in every neighborhood is connected to safe places to ride…
When all those who choose to ride and those with no other options can gather and celebrate as one bicycle community…
...We will have achieved our vision.
