BBP's Impact Continues: Bikes for CATCH
When the pandemic struck, the shelter in place orders went into affect, and our lives as we know them were severely altered, one thing was clear at BBP: we wanted to do whatever we could to provide transportation options to those in most urgent need.
In the sphere of nonprofits, it’s clear that an individual needing the services of one organization will likely need the services of another, or a few different nonprofits. It can be pretty overwhelming to juggle appointment after appointment to simply have your basics needs addressed. This is why a great nonprofit network is so important to the community.
We contacted a few of our nonprofit peers and told them that if they had clients needing transportation, we’d do our very best to meet them where they were rather than creating one more step. CATCH reached out last week with the request for a couple bicycles to keep onsite for clients entering into a relationship there. Yesterday, I delivered two bicycles to CATCH, for them to use however they determine for immediate needs. I’m really happy to know that we’re working together to provide a network of support during this challenging time.
