The final countdown. Support these last minute needs.

It’s hard to believe the big day is almost here. Our team has been working around the clock since mid-October to prepare for this event. Then, two weeks ago we realized we’d have to push extra hard when we had 200 more applicants than we anticipated.

Thanks to your support, we did not have to turn away one single applicant, and we will be giving away 700 bikes this Saturday, over 100 more than we’ve ever done. The Holiday Kids Bike Giveaway truly is my very favorite day of the year!

We have a few last minute needs and could really use your support.

  1. While the weather is looking quite good for Saturday, we want to be over-prepared. We need to borrow six to eight 10x10 pop up tents for the event. Do you have one we can borrow? Bring it by and we’ll label it with your info. You can pick it up after the event on Sunday 12/22 or Monday 12/23, or we can hand-deliver it back to you during the 2nd week in January. Please email info@boisebicycleproject.org to give us a heads up that you can donate.

  2. We still need tasty treats to feed army worth of folks on Saturday 12/21. Your food donation—large or small, store-bought of homemade—will contribute to our community populated potluck. Review the details and sign up here: https://forms.gle/A6q125sPkcofAar29

If you have food related questions, email info@boisebicycleproject.org

  3. If you would like to contribute to the event’s success in a different way, a financial donation will support the operating costs of putting on this event. Or a dream bike adoption will ensure that every child has the accessories, lights and locks to make their dream bike a reality.

  4. Lastly, there are still plenty of volunteer shifts left for the big day. Review shifts and sign up!
