$116,152 Raised During Idaho Gives! The Most Raised in BBP History.

We are truly grateful and overwhelmed by the result of Idaho Gives! Together we were able to raise a whopping $116,152 from 474 grassroots supporters in just 4 days.

More importantly, we were able to showcase the impactful work that our team and volunteers do daily in our community this week, which included:

  • Hosting a BASH during which we were able to distribute 18 bicycles to kids in partnership with women from our Shifting Gears program

  • Grassroots advocacy for safer bike/ped infrastructure (alongside riding 100 laps around the BFF Block Party)

  • Fixing 24 kids bikes for free at a Mobile Fix-it repair stop

  • Empowering teens through our after-school Teen Earn-a-Bike Program

  • Continuing to offer all of Boise affordable bikes and DIY repair access in our inclusive shop space.

Your incredible support of BBP and the community members we serve during Idaho Gives is an investment in a Boise that is more equitable with opportunities and access for all.

You're giving teens and women who are incarcerated the tools they need to succeed, the confidence to explore, and the opportunity to thrive through new apprenticeship programs this upcoming year.

We can’t wait to see the imprint that this next generation of change-makers and advocates will make in our community!

Our team here at the Boise Bicycle Project would like to offer a sincere THANK YOU for every bit of help that we received throughout this week - the financial support, the phone calls, the letter writing, the bike wrenching, the hot laps, the beer drinking, and of course, the embodiment of our mission!

We hope you’re celebrating as much as we are, as this means so much for BBP! Our staff, Board, volunteers, and partners did a fantastic job this week & the weeks leading up to Idaho Gives. If you’re interested in moving this funding forward with us, the path continues on. Here are a handful of ways you can stay connected on this path to opportunity:

  1. Join our Advocacy Committee to continue our work fighting for safer streets. You can sign up for advocacy updates here.

  2. Volunteer and meet the communities we work with. We have a whole array of opportunities for all abilities, listed here.

  3. Subscribe to our newsletter to stay connected. You can do this by scrolling to the bottom of this page.

  4. Support our shop. Making purchases in our shop for your bicycling needs helps us generate continuous funding. Becoming a BBP Member goes the extra mile.

Thank you for showing what is possible when we come together in unity and community to work towards a city where opportunity is boundless for all!

Thank you,

Devin McComas, Executive Director

Devin and Abi as she received her bike on Thursday, May 2nd, upon completion of the Shifting Gears Program.
